Great for skin, hair and anywhere!
Unrefined Coconut Oil
I was surprised at how much color there was. But it is fine and I think unrefined is probably a good thing, health wise.

Spectrum coconut oil
My entire family thought this oil was bad. We will not be ordering it again.
Can I get a refund from this product. I have the entire jar left unused but open
Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil
Great for skin!
I use this nightly to take off my eye make it. The size is massive, so I won't need to repurchase for a few months! Love how it works
This is great for so many things. I also use it as a conditioner for my hair.
I'm trying it on my hair for tryout ,like the way my hair looks and feel.
Spectrum Naturals Oils-Coconut oil
Beware the various ways labels can fool consumers. So it is with Spectrum Naturals. We bought 3 jars of Spectrum Naturals vigil, cold pressed [per label] coconut oil, during one year, because for so long, Spectrum Naturals was a reputable company.....evidently, that changed. ALL the jars were different batches, ALL smelled like burnt plastic.
Unfit for human consumption. One can get small help from adulterated coconut oil, but the risks increase related to various issues wrong with the oil.
Wouldn't even want to use that as skin care, nor on pet care, because whatever is wrong to make the oil smell that bad, seeps through the skin, putting those toxins into the body.
If they heat it high enough to smell like burnt plastic, it's also likely beyond the legal "cold-processed" temp range [which is allowed to reach unbelievably high temps in industry].
Further, oil in the base of All the jars we got, had been scorched [discolored like scorching].
I contacted Spectrum Natural's customer service Rep. The guy avoided any bit of discussion about potential problems on their production line [which I thought it might be---it could have been a great "out" handed to the company]; Silly me...assumed a company would want to remedy that situation. But nope.
It was clear Spectrum had no intension of investigating the causes of the bad oil, nor change anything; weren't interested in getting our jars of oil back to examine them.
I made it clear then to the Rep, that based on bad products on three occasions over a year's time, and the Company's cavalier attitude about food oils processing and questionable labeling, we would avoid buying anymore Spectrum Naturals Products.... But Lo...!!?
The company Rep mailed us a COUPON to buy more product!?
No way I'd buy more of their stuff.
I was really excited to use this product, and then i realized that it smelled like plastic, or burnt coconut, and it never resolidified.... Don't really know how to handle that :/
I love this Coconut Oil for my skin! I recently had an increasing problem with patches of rough bumpy skin that wouldn't quit. My dermatologist told me it was keratosis pilaris and there was nothing I could do about it. I didn't agree and starting use this oil on those patches. Its been about a week now and they are almost gone! I also use it to make a facial scrub with sugar and essential oils. So happy I purchased this stuff and will continue to do so!
Love coconut oil and I bought this one not realizing it says great for skin and hair (which it is by the way). I was trying to buy it to cook with though....so can I eat this kind or is it only for skin and hair?
I use this as my shaving cream in the shower and it leaves my skin super soft!
I have used a ton of moisturizers in my day. None can compare to the hydration and healing to coconut oil. I especially like this oil. It isn't completely smooth, but it is very effective. I enjoy playing with my hair now that it's healthy and soft and really love that my skin is soft and pampered. I also like to use this on my lips all winter long to protect my lips in the long winter days. Great product!

Better Hair Care
This unrefined coconut oil is grainier than most, but it works great! I have used it as a lotion and in my hair. I especially love to use it in my hair. I add it to a couple drops of argan oil and leave it in for about 30 minutes or over night if I feel my hair really needs it. It makes my hair smooth and easy to manage. My hair now shines! I love it! This is definitely a great product to use for dry, damaged skin and hair.

This Coconut Product is Amazing!!
I really don't write reviews, unless the product is amazing. Spectrum Essentials Coconut Oil for skin and hair is absolutely amazing! I use coconut oil for cooking and baking, but I never knew there were so many other uses.
I have very sensitive skin, rashes, eczema and so on. I have to be very careful what I use to moisturize my skin. I had been purchasing a very expensive lotion my dermatologist recommended, and it really didn't work.
Then when I joined Thrive Market, I noticed the Spectrum Essentials line of skincare products. I thought I'd try the coconut oil for skin. The price was so much cheaper than the other cream I had been purchasing. This product has done wonders for my skin and my self-confidence!

Fixed my Damaged Hair
After taking some advice of a friend who didn't know much about hair, I've been washing my hair with some stuff that's left it feeling dry and breaking. I wanted to help repair the damage as soon as possible, but most shampoos I was trying weren't doing much. I decided to give this coconut oil a try and see what could happen. It's been fantastic! I've been placing it on the ends of my hair and washing out in the mornings, and my hair is looking so, so much better than it used to. Even after my hair gets back where I want it, I think I'm going to keep using this because it makes my hair so soft.

I guess I'm more used to the normal coconut oil.
This is unrefined, so the texture was a bit grainier and not as smooth as I expected. It worked ok, maybe slightly greasier than usual, but better than most lotions I've used. Just have to adjust to the texture I guess.

Works on hair and body
This unrefined coconut oil is as pure as you can get. Made without any processing or chemicals, I use it as a moisturizer, and as a conditioner.
Coconut oil has great benefits for eating as well, and I also mix this into protein shakes to give it some texture.

I have naturally very dry hair, and a friend recommended this coconut oil. It's made such an incredible difference! It leaves my skin hydrated and also smooths out the frizz nicely. It works as well as the super-expensive intense hair treatments I used to use years ago, before I really started watching my budget. I live in Colorado, so my skin gets pretty dry too. It's really worked wonders for both!
