Reviews For Red Curry Paste
Based on 16 Reviews
This is a product I cannot find anywhere. So when I find it, I stock up. I love the spicy, hot flavor. I use it in a recipe for wings that calls for honey, butter (yes BUTTER), lime juice and worcester sauce. It is a must in my kitchen!
I enjoy this curry paste. I make meals in minutes with it.
Love this stuff!
Makes dinner easy
Saute some veggies, add the curry paste and some coconut milk, top with cashews--quick and delicious dinner in less than 30 minutes! If it were organic, it would be perfect.
Authentic Thai Curry
This curry is a wonderful addition to making any homemade curries - especially Thai! Cook with some coconut milk and veggies, perhaps a little bit of miso broth to thin out... It's perfect. While it adds a medium to high level of heat, I love truly spicy food and add a splash of crushed red pepper chili paste. Perfect quick addition to your pantry.
Not as flavorful as I was hoping
I was hoping that this would add a huge amount of flavor to a curry stew I made. However, after adding coconut milk it tasted very watered down. I even used the entire jar!
Pantry staple for curry!
The red curry paste has a wonderful flavor. The jar shows three peppers for full heat but I find it is spicy but not crazy hot (personally I add Sriracha for more heat). I use to make vegan curry vegetables and sometimes add coconut milk as a variation. For veggies with rice or even as a thai pizza - this is amazing!!
Clean ingredients and tasty. I like spicy, so used the whole jar rather than the 2 TBSP called for when making curry. Even with that, I will still order this again!
I love this paste and the best thing is that I can get it so much cheaper here!
I use this in a curry dish along with coconut creme. It's delicious and as good as I'd get at my local Thai restaurant. Go to dr jockers for recipe....it's fabulous. I add my favorite vegetables and sometimes add chicken or shrimp too.
Not very flavorful
I normally love curry paste, and this one is a good option. However, it doesn't have that full flavor and zing that you'd really want it to have.
It is lacking the horrible GMOs though, so it could be worse!

Tasty curry paste
Thai Kitchen red curry paste is really great in curry and as a marinade. It adds a lot of taste to anything you use it with.
This makes a great marinade for chicken and I've even tried it out on steaks.

Use it as a marinade
Though this Thai red curry paste is great to make Thai curry, I use it a lot as a marinade for beef short ribs, pork spare ribs and even chicken wings. It adds that awesome Thai flavor to those dishes, that you can't quite recreate without it.
And Thrive's price on this 4oz bottle is fantastic. For under three dollars, I get enough to last me two meals, not including leftovers. Amazon is selling this bottle at almost $9. Thrive is my new home for organic products that are a permanent discount.

Great for Thai dishes
I love Thai food, and I cook a little bit of it myself. This red curry paste is ideal for making Thai curry, red style. It's got some bite to it, though it's not as spicy as the one I eat at the restaurant.
It's also great for Thai chicken stew, and it turns everything a beautiful red color, with deep rich flavors, especially when blended with organic coconut milk. This is an authentic Thai paste that I love using.

Good Curry Paste at a Reasonable Price
I've read reviews here and elsewhere that state Thai Kitchen Curry Sauces have changed. I purchased a jar before reading the reviews, but it didn't matter. I think it's a good curry sauce. When mixed with a stir-fry of vegetables and shrimp, the taste is near perfect.
Maybe because this is the first time I've tried Thai Kitchen's foods, but it is good. If it weren’t for my Thrive Market membership, I probably wouldn't have purchased this. It's expensive at our local stores, but Thrive offers it for 34% off retail. Can't beat that! I'll be ordering again, soon.

This used to be my favorite red curry sauce, and I used it pretty faithfully. It went it pretty much everything I made, and it was so flavorful and delicious. We used to go through quite a few jars every month. It's just super delicious! Unfortunately, the last two jars I've tried from my local health foods store have been really odd. I might have gotten a bad batch or they might have changed the formula because it had a bland taste and didn't taste nearly as flavorful as we've grown to love. I'll be buying from Thrive from now on in case my health foods store had a bad batch.
