Why You’ll Love It

In ancient times, cacao was once traded as currency. Today, it’s still much admired for its powerful health benefits—and flavor! Touted by science as a source of cell-protecting antioxidants, these dark, rich nibs also contain magnesium, which is known to improve focus, mood, and energy. It’s easy to enjoy these “sugarless chocolate chips” right out of the bag! Or add them to trail mix, shakes, or as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.

Reviews For Organic Cacao Nibs

Based on 19 Reviews

These are a new and interesting food for me. I knew they were going to be bitter and not like a chocolate chip or anything. You wouldn't want to just eat them. But I did add them to a healthier version of no bake cookies I was making expecting it to not work, and they really added a nice crunch and worked fine. So they are more versatile than I even expected. I'm glad I bought them.

These nibs are perfect for a smoothie, acai bowl, or on top of some rice cakes with almond butter. They are my go-to for any snack! Great deal!

- Allison Emery

Just perfect

Great deal and super yummy!

- Ana

Mmmmm good!

Great in smoothies, fantastic in my homemade goodie treats.....Like the great fiber, taste, antioxidants and the price is wonderful too!

- Mary Noreen

These are particularly crunchy and wonderful for toppings or adds for (dairy-free) yogurt, coconut ice cream, etc. Best with adds.

One Of My Favorite Green Smoothie Boosters

Adds a boost of nutrition, flavor, and a nice crunch. Also great in oatmeal. Also a plus that the packaging is BPA-Free!

- Troy

Interesting Superfood

I bought this on a whim. The flavor is different than what I expected but still good. Not quite the same as chocolate but much better for me, that's for sure! Great for cooking instead of using regular chocolate chips :)

- Rebecca

Great Value & Taste

I love these cacao nibs. I used to get a different brand whose nibs were a bit smaller but I prefer the slightly larger size of Thrive Market brand. I usually use in smoothies where they end up chopped up a bit; or in yogurt where they provide a great crunch.

- Joseph

Great deal!

Great price and flavor. Sometimes you get 'shells,' but terrific deal.

- Mary

These are at a great price. Delicious! I love the packaging.

- Sherry

Tasty but poorly sorted

These are very tasty, but like anither reveiwer i have found some hard bark-like bits and pieces of twig or stem. I realize this is a reault of the processing, and will be more diligent in sorting through them when using them in the future. Also these are larger pieces than the only other brand i ever tried, schafen berger.

- Trista

Love those cacao nibs!!! Tasty and very versatile...!!! I will definitely purchase these again. Competitive price also.

Could be the best

I am very impressed with the Thrive Cacao Nibs. I have had a few brands that weren't very good. The one I most recently purchased before Thrive that I thought was the best was about the same price and great quality, but I decided to give Thrive's a shot because I love to support them. And I was very happy I did. These were just as good if not better. Super fresh and all the values they have make them a hit!

- Debbie

First time trying these

Never had cacao nibs before, but I got them to try to add some different flavors and a minor crunch to my Greek yogurt. I think they're very bitter if you're eating them right out of the bag for some reason, but as an addition to yogurt, they're great.

- Larry

My favorite

Best ones I've tried yet. Strong flavor, but not too bitter.

- Natalia

Inedible bark-like bits in the package

I bought these for my husband and he is finding that not all the "nibs" in the package are eating the shell of a nut or bark from a tree. We have purchased cacao nibs in the past (different brand) and have not experienced this. Could we have gotten a bad batch??

- Anita

bitter to eat alone but great in yogurt

These are good in yogurt or shakes . I put in my protein shakes . Pretty nice size bag for the price.

- Doris

Maple almond butter

We all love it

- Christy

Superfood Smoothie

I love adding cacao nibs into my favorite smoothie, which is Spinach, banana, mint, almond milk, and of course nibs for the extra crunch and rich cacao taste. These are definitely part of my morning ritual!
