Reviews For Organic Fava Beans

Based on 9 Reviews

First Try

This was mine and my family's first time trying these and they were good. Unlike any bean I've seen before, but great taste and mouth feel. Filling and satisfying.

not good

I was very disappointed in these. They taste like fava beans. I grew up eating fresh favas from the garden. After cooked, they have a skin on them that needs to be peeled off. It's actually not too bad to eat but better without. Unfortunately, I guess something about the canning process turns this skin into an inedible, unpleasantly crunchy, plastic consistency. This was so unpleasant, I we couldn't eat them.

Better than expected

When I've bought other brands, they were not only too slaty; they were mushy, as if they'd soaked for far too long. These needed only a quick rinse, as there was far less salt than usual, and the beans were in perfect condition. They were delicious in all three recipes in which I used them!

Delicious!!

A dish of fava beans with olive oil and cumin is our traditional breakfast back home, Egypt. We used to enjoy it with whole wheat pitas, and sometimes some green onions. I couldn't find good tasting fave beans here in the U.S, until I tasted these. They are delicious, nutritious, and so fresh.

Organic fava beans

these were nice beans, I tried the recipe on the can which adds a lot of flavor to the beans. Excellent company, very fast shipping, items packed extremely well.

Big and beautiful

I had no idea fava beans were so big and so flavorful! They are truly unique, the king of beans.

Great Nutritional Statistics

I can't have a lot of dietary fat in my diet, so these beans have been fantastic for me. They help me get protein in my diet, and they're super easy to make. I'm really impressed by the sodium too. I have to be careful about how much salt I take in, and the salt content for these is really low. These are going to be a staple of my daily meals.

Easy Meal Addition

These are surprisingly good fava beans. They're super easy to prepare, and I find that I can easily add them as an effortless sidedish to a lot of the meals that I prepare for the family. I prefer rinsing them again in the sink (even though they come pre-rinsed), and it washes away a bit of the salt-like flavoring from the canning process. These are definitely good, and I'd recommend them to anybody who wants high protein without adding any extra fat.
