Whether adding them to a sweet dessert or wanting to add texture to a salad, these flakey pieces will bring intense coconut flavor without any added sugars or sulfites.
Too often, dried fruits contain additional sugars to make food even sweeter. Dried coconut in particular also often contains sulfites, that many believe can trigger asthma or headaches. With Let's Do...Organic Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Flakes people know they’re getting wholesome dried coconut, and nothing else. Mix it into trail mixes, sprinkle it on some muffins, or add it in with some roasted vegetables—no matter how it’s enjoyed, these tasty (and healthy) morsels can take any dish to a completely new level.
The health benefits of coconut
When most people think of flakes of coconut, they envision a beautiful white cake with a rough outer texture, comprised of long, skinny flakes of the dried fruit. Let's Do...Organic Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Flakes is certainly a game changer for desserts and baked goods, but it shouldn’t have the bad reputation that sweets have. Coconut can actually do a lot of good for the body, starting with its fat content.
Fat isn’t normally thought of as being good for the body, but the truth is people need it to live. Each and every body has some amount of fat in it, and without that humans would cease to exist. There are different types of fat, however, and it matters which type is consumed. Saturated fat comes in two varieties: long-chain triglycerides and medium-chain triglycerides. Long-chain triglycerides are what give fats a bad name. They take an especially long time to get processed in the body, remaining in the body’s system for a longer period of time. This fat getting stored is what leads to obesity, heart disease, and stroke later on down the line.
Medium-chain triglycerides, on the other hand, get consumed and sent straight to the liver. There, they get turned into fuel for the body at a rapid pace. So when enjoying a bit of Let's Do...Organic Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Flakes it’ll almost immediately provide a boost of energy, making it a wonderful addition to cereals or oatmeals at breakfast. It can also be sprinkle onto yogurt or added on top of a salad to help power through a long afternoon at work.
Coconut is also high in vitamins A and E, and along with polyphenols (which it also possesses) these all can work together to lower the levels of LDL cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is often referred to as the “bad” cholesterol—the one that lingers in the blood and skin and is associated with higher risks of cardiovascular disease and heart problems. by lowering it, risk for these life-threatening problems becomes reduced.
Coconut scores even more in the heart health department by promoting natural and healthy red blood cells. With plentiful, good red blood cells, the heart and the rest of the body will operate better. The goal is to fuel the body well so that it can stay in the best shape possible, providing more energy and strength, and helping recover from injuries (big and small).
Let's Do...Organic Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Flakes has that delightful exotic taste and adds to tasty desserts but it won’t cause exhausting sugar highs or the impending crashes after it’s eaten. That’s because medium-chain triglycerides get transformed into energy almost immediately, so these can be enjoyed alone or with any treat of choice without any risk of a rapid increase in blood sugar.
As the cherry on top, coconut works wonders for weight loss and weight management. After eating some Let's Do...Organic Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Flakes, either alone or in a favorite recipe, the body gets all fueled up. At this point, metabolic rate increases, making it much easier to burn fat and stay energized throughout the day. In the same vein, coconut promotes a healthy thyroid, which is a vital player for weight loss and management.

Reviews For Toasted Coconut Flakes, Unsweetened
Based on 33 Reviews
It was not unsweetened at all. I had to try it a couple of times before getting use to the snack. I noticed it was addictive and very filling. I wish it came with a little bit of natural sweetening. So far it's a good snack.
I like having coconut that you don't have to toast yourself.
I can't leave these alone!
The coconut tastes so good and it's such a healthy item -- I love it and can't leave it alone! I just keep taking a pinch out, more and more often! I love that it is toasted, too.
The fresh taste of this coconut reminds me of when I found a coconut on a beach in Hawaii, under its tree. I took it out in the water and bashed it on the lava rock just a few feet out, and I kept bashing it until I got the husk off! It was the most delicious coconut ever! Can't get much fresher than that! I even brought 1/2 of it home because I couldn't eat it all!
Any way, thanks for such a wonderful snack and bringing up wonderful memories! I purchased it for a special recipe and I have just enough left to still make it!
This is s great product. Nice strong coconut flavor, good crunchy texture. I add it to soups, stews, and breakfast cereal. It's a little too thick for dessert topping, but cocoholics might still enjoy it there.
Beats potato chips!
They are so delicious and crispy from toasting. I mix them with sprouted toasted pumpkin seeds I get from Thrive, with dried fruit, nuts and Paleonola granola and topped with pieces of dried meat. Makes a great blend of protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates! I prepare five bags of the mix, one for each work day.
This was a big hit with my diabetic, carb-free friend. I think they are tasty, and not overly greasy. Almost sweet, these are not as savory as I feared.
Addicted to them!
I'm a coconut lover and I tried several coconut chips and products. And by far this is the best for quantity and value! Perfect size chips and o grab a couple in hand and snack on during the day. Fill me up and keep a steady energy release. They are more on the chewy size than crispy like potatoes chips. But way better for you. I will that you can feel the oil releasing into the mouth when you chew them. Ordered them a second time 6 bags now!

Toasted Coconut Flakes, Unsweetened
I like snacking on these flakes. Big enough to grab and they give a long lasting chew. Helpful for when all sugars are out of the diet!
Good for a nice snack
Just to snack on these are good for, you know when you want a little something to just grab and chew! These flakes are good in cereal too and your yogurt as well.
Love toasted coconut
These toasted flakes are perfect to top off my morning yogurt. You can put on salads too!
Flavor over texture
I love the size of the flakes, perfect for snacking. However, the toasted edges gave me the impression that they would be crispier. Definitely more on the chewy side. Flavor is solid.
A Flake I Can Tolerate
These coconut flakes are toasted to perfection! While raw coconut has its place and benefits, toasting the coconut really draws out that deep, rich, island flavour that is distinctly coconut. Give it a try! I'm glad I did.
Great as a snack instead of potato chips. Very satisfying.
A nice addition to my morning yogurt.
Love the texture and flavor from the toasting and that they have no added sugar.
It is very hard to find coconut chips that are unsalted and toasted too. Delicious!
These coconut chips are a great addition to fruit, salads, fish, or anything you would want to add a little extra flavor to.
Haven't used yet, but will soon.
Toasted unsweetened coconut
I absolutely love this stuff. I add it to anything I whip up for breakfast or lunch. Definitely my go to treat.
They're good, but I have a million bags of it!!! I keep getting this instead of the cereal that I keep ordering!

Was not too crazy about the taste
Toasted Coconut Flakes, unsweetened
The product is excellent and the price is very good. What more could you want?
I have been very pleased with other Native Forest coconut products in the past, so I thought I'd give the toasted version a try. It was disappointing. It doesn't taste like freshly posted coconut. I can only describe it s "funky". I detected off/fishy flavors when eating out of hand. It was better mixed into other items, but there isn't a pronounced toasted coconut flavor. disappointed.

Keep On Hand!
Just give me a little over my yogurt for a crunch without stickiness or too much sugar. Like to use even in baking when making a crumble over apples, berries, etc. This is a special, unique ingredient to add to lots of things or to enjoy by itself.
Great for price!
Can't beat this price for unsweetened toasted coconut chips! These are delicious!
I really liked it.
Delicious. Perfect snack and oh so good for you. Luv these crunchy pieces of delight!
Toasty, crunchy, not too sweet. These are great in recipes or alone. I'm glad I bought more than one bag!
Were were very good, crunchy, and great to put on salads and desserts. I will buy again.
The coconut flakes exceeded by expectations for freshness and taste.
I love eating them like that as a in between snack or on top of my smoothies, desserts and salads. I do store them in a air tight container, so they don't loose their crunchiness.
Great for snack cravings and baking!
I love these unsweetened coconut shavings and love the price for a good sized organic bag of them. I eat them all by themselves or put them in/on anything that's good with coconut.
this is great alternative to a dessert! I have it as a sweet snack all the time!!
