I use the extra firm tofu in countless ways. I mostly use it in main dishes and sauces. But one of the most fantastic things is using it as the base for pumpkin pie. It works great and gives a creamy substitute for the milk and eggs.
I like the texture much better than fresh water-packed tofu for most recipes. And because it has a long shelf life it is easy to have on hand all of the time.
Easy to use cartons
Nice product, because it is "silken" it will be softer than regular tofu. Easy to use very creamy.
Longer Shelf Life- Great to Have On Hand
Mori-Nu has long been a staple I always have on hand. Its longer shelf life means I can keep it on hand for short-notice meal planning and last minute dinner plan changes. I prefer the extra-firm for cutting into cubes/strips and steaming, frying or using in soups. the softer versions are good for making recipes requiring smooshed tofu, like making iced bars or 'pate' types of dishes. All Mori-Nu has great taste- no aftertaste or sourness, and picks up flavors from herbs, seasonings, syrups and sauces quite well.

I love the clean taste and firmness of this tofu
I do not cook this, and I use it for an egg replacement for a Faux Egg Salad. Just cut it up and add your egg salad ingredients. Great Smooth hard boiled egg white texture!
