Power bars, energy bars, meal replacement bars—whatever you call them, this category of snacks has come a long way in recent years. Never before have you been able to find so many wholesome options on the shelf made from high-quality ingredients like nuts, seeds, and fruits that keep you full without relying on fillers you definitely don’t want in your system. Since 2002, PROBAR has been a leader of the pack, making plant-based, non-GMO food products you can enjoy any time.

The History of PROBAR

Founder Jeff Coleman moved to Park City, Utah in 2002. After spending time exploring the local trails (and realizing Philly cheesesteaks, his favorite guilty pleasure, aren’t the best option for refueling), he set out to make better decisions about his own nutrition. Coleman started working with a food coach who helped him embrace real food, and hasn’t looked back since! But it wasn’t until he tried a locally made energy bar that he was inspired to create his own—something truly delicious, that wasn’t at all reminiscent of flavored cardboard.

PROBAR Company Mission

PROBAR’s mission is to be a leader in the industry without compromising its commitment to quality, sustainability, and taste. In addition to laughing every day, the team operates with a few core standards that are easy to get behind.

Treat your business like family. PROBAR knows it won’t be successful without nurturing relationships and encouraging personal and professional growth. The company invests in employees, vendors, and customers to do just that.
Let your actions define you. The founders share this bit of advice with their kids, and also try to live it out at work by being dependable and honest at every stage.
Big steps, small footprint. As a sustainable brand, PROBAR focuses on ingredients that have a small impact on the earth but a big, positive impact on our bodies.
