Reviews For Tamari Gluten-Free Soy Sauce

Based on 16 Reviews

I'll never use regular soy sauce again

Tamari is awesome. I tried it when cooking for a friend who needed everything to be gluten free, and I discovered a thicker, richer soy sauce that has won me over forever!

- KatG

Love it

This worked great to make chicken jerky. It didn't seem too salty. Plus I love the price! Will purchase again.

Excellent Product

I have celiac disease and have used this tamari soy sauce for many years. It's fantastic quality and a great company.

- Brenna

The best value!

At this price I thought it was the regular size- I guess I didn't pay attention to that! But oh my goodness- it was huge! So cheap for such an awesome product!!

- Cristy

Soy Sauce

I liked this because it let me keep the salt under control and still gave me the flavor I expect in my fried rice and it's gluten-free.

- DONA

Tamari Gluten-free soy sauce

I am always please when I can purchase something at a significant savings and find it to be of no less quality if I was paying the regular price. Thanks you

- Shirley

Excellent enhancer....

Its rich full body of flavour adds to many dishes, but since it is a bit salty try adding just a small squeeze of lemon to enhance the experience.

Try This Now!

If you haven't tried Tamari yet, go ahead and add this to your cart! it's absolutely amazing and full of flavor. It's a lot stronger than other brands of soy sauce. It's great for making sauces or sprinkling on sushi. The flavor is amazing!

Agree that there's too much sodium

I have to agree with another reviewer here who said there was a little too much sodium in this soy sauce. I expected that with it being gluten free that maybe they would reduce the salt level too, but it tastes as salty as the standard soy sauce I buy at my Giant food store. I guess it's good if you can't eat gluten, but if you're looking for something with lower salt, wait for the low sodium version I guess.

Hurray for gluten free soy sauce

I've been looking for a tasty soy sauce without gluten and San J finally did it. There's no difference in the taste of this soy sauce versus the ones with gluten, but knowing that this is all natural and healthy is a Godsend. I use it in all my Asian dishes, especially stir fry, but it's also good as a marinade for fish and beef. Thank you Thrive for offering this at such a great price, I love being a member.

A Lot of Sodium

I can't have gluten, but I really love my Tamari Soy Sauce. This stuff has an amazing and delicious taste that goes so well on my stir fry. It's so easy to pour, and it really does add a ton of flavor. Unfortunately, it also has so much sodium that it's a serious health concern for my high blood pressure. I can only use this on a rare basis. It's more of a treat than anything else. I'll be hoping that Tamari comes out with a low-sodium version because this one just has way too much for me - but it really, really is tasty!

Flavorful Gluten Free Option

Not many Gluten free soy sauces can claim certified gluten free, let alone that they'll be flavorful and robust. But this soy sauce really is. It has that strong soy sauce flavor we love and is just like any other soy sauce, except it tastes better.
I have a lot of recipes that use soy sauce from my Hawaiian chicken to my famous stir fry and this soy sauce is absolutely perfect. It is a little on the salty side, but I don't use a ton of it usually so I just don't add salt to those dishes that I use soy sauce in. It tastes great and is affordable. It lasts quite a long time and is definitely the best gluten free soy sauce-maybe even soy sauce, period-that I have ever tasted.

- Sonya

Still too salty.

Great taste but I still find it too salty. I recommend it for others, but I will look for a lower sodium version.

- Sheilah

Fantastic Soy Sauce!

I initially bought this soy sauce because of my wheat allergy... but it's more than a substitute for "regular" soy sauce. I find the flavor richer and less salty. Highly recommended!
