We didn’t know there was anything better than lounging in a hot, steamy tub … until bath bombs came along. These little spheres are easy to make at home. Packed with simple yet luxurious ingredients like olive oil, essential oils, plus safe-for-skin natural food coloring, they also feature an organic Bladderwrack seaweed blend brimming with 65 vitamins and minerals sourced straight from the sea. Each little ball of goodness also fizzes and foams when you plop it into bathwater (you can thank the baking soda and citric acid for that little trick). Since bath bombs are a cinch to make, they’re perfect for DIY gifting, and we’ve got a few ideas for scent blends to try, too.
Time to Relax: Lavender + Cedarwood
Winter Vibes: Rosemary + Cinnamon + Cedarwood
Rise and Shine: Orange + Lemon
1 cup baking soda
½ cup citric acid
½ cup Seaweed Bath Co. Hydrating Seaweed Bath, Eucalyptus & Peppermint
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 ½ teaspoons water
2 drops yellow food coloring
5 drops peppermint essential oil
5 drops eucalyptus essential oil
Bath bomb molds
Whisk baking soda, citric acid, and detox bath salts in a medium bowl. Whisk olive oil, water, and essential oil(s) in a small bowl; pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir to combine. Fill bath bomb molds; let dry 1 to 2 days before removing. Store in an airtight container to help protect from excess moisture, or wrap them up to gift.
