Tiffanie Barriere’s ‘It Takes Two to Mango’ Wine Cocktail Recipe

Last Update: September 28, 2023

Wine is great on its own, but on a hot summer afternoon, a wine cocktail filled with fresh, juicy fruit flavor really hits the spot. We tapped Tiffanie Barriere, better known online as The Drinking Coach, to show us how to take Thrive Market’s rosé to the next level with fresh mango tea, naturally sweet agave nectar, and some effervescence from sparkling water.

Barriere is a self-proclaimed “bartender’s bartender”, as well as a Bar Smart graduate, member of the James Beard Beverage Advisory Board, and an educator and historian focusing on linking the culinary and cocktail worlds. Her cocktails are creative and innovative, with a Southern influence drawing from her upbringing in Texas and Louisiana. Despite her many accolades, Barriere describes her cocktails—and herself, for that matter—as “approachable”, making them ideal for the kind of spur-of-the-moment hangouts that happily pop up throughout the summertime.

When she considered creating a cocktail from Thrive Market’s wine selection, Barriere instantly thought of adding fruit to rosé, the quintessential summer wine choice. “The inspiration for this gorgeous wine cocktail were the flavors that summer brings,” Barriere told us. “Peach mango tea really added fruitiness to the sharpness and strawberry hues in the rosé, while adding a bit of citrus and bubbles created a bright, refreshing and long-lasting sip for any porch or patio.”
