Warm Up This Winter With Spiced Hibiscus-Pomegranate Tea

Put the kettle on and brew this spiced tea all winter long. The deep purple hue hints at its antioxidant power, and the spiced flavor (thanks to cinnamon and ginger) will encourage relaxation on the chilliest days.

Hibiscus-Pomegranate Tea

Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Active Time:

Ingredients

4 bags hibiscus tea
1 (2- to 3-inch) piece ginger, peeled and finely chopped
1 cinnamon stick
4 1/4 cups pomegranate juice
Scant 1 cup water
Honey, to taste

Instructions

Combine all the ingredients except the honey in a large pot over medium-low heat. Slowly bring to a boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Let sit, covered, for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain and discard solids. Sweeten to taste with honey and serve warm.
