After giving up dairy, grains, and alcohol (among other things) for 30 days, it’s only fair that your first post-Whole30® meal should be full of carbs, sugar, and cheese, right? Unfortunately, no. Slow and steady is the name game when your Whole30® month is up. It’s important to mindfully reintroduce foods into your diet so you can see how your body responds to them. Co-founder Melissa Hartwig-Urban says this period—which can last roughly 10 to 15 days—is when you learn how different foods affect you. “Without a proper reintroduction, there’s no real food freedom because you’re going to have a hard time answering questions like ‘Is it worth it?’ and ‘Do I want it?’” Watch our video for a closer look!
