Certified Gluten-Free

The Certified Gluten-Free label indicates that a manufacturer has enacted quality assessment and other control measures to ensure their products meet strict standards to be considered gluten-free. That may mean completely gluten-free facilities or dedicated production runs to minimize cross-contamination. These manufacturers must conduct regular tests and renew their certifications on an annual basis to use the Certified Gluten-Free label, which is regulated by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization and requires that products contain less than 10 ppm of gluten, which is stricter than the FDA’s limit of less than 20 ppm.
