Why You’ll Love Organic Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup
Talk about cream of the crop. Pacific Foods makes its Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup using 100 percent non-GMO and certified organic ingredients, so every time you cook with it you can be sure there are no harmful hormones, antibiotics, or artificial ingredients in your dish. Which is a very good thing since this condensed soup has so many versatile uses.
While it’s great on its own, it can be even more savory when used to make gravies, sauces, and casseroles, or poured over chicken, rice, and steamed vegetables for some extra flavor. Because it’s thicker than chicken broth, it’s also a great resource for making any recipe instantly creamy. Just heat up and it’s ready to use!
The healthy ingredients in Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup
In general, old-fashioned cream of chicken soup is made from chicken broth that is mixed with milk, flour, and spices. Doing so thickens it, making the liquid relatively thick and gravy-like. It’s a pretty easy process, but Pacific Foods goes a step further adding in even more tasty ingredients that magnify the wholesome taste. Inside you’ll find:
- Chicken broth concentrate (made from water, chicken, and rosemary extract)
- Cooked chicken
- Chicken fat
- Crème fraîche
- Rice starch
- Rice flour
- Sea salt
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
When combined, the garlic and onion powders play well with the rosemary extract, and the crème fraîche adds just the right amount of denseness. As well, Pacific Foods uses cooked chicken that has not been mechanically processed for even more fresh taste.
The importance of choosing organic products
With chicken products, it’s ideal to choose those with the certified organic seal. That’s because non-organic farmers are not nearly as regulated and can use hormones, antibiotics, and other growth-enhancing drugs to sustain their livestock. Additionally, these animals may also be consuming grass and feed treated with pesticides, which can be stored in their tissues and muscles, and can then be passed on to the consumer. On the other hand, organic farmers are more humane with their farming practices and are also prohibited from using harmful agents in order to receive annual certification.
As a whole, chicken is an amazing source of protein and vitamins B and D, but these nutrients can be diminished if the animal is given hormones or antibiotics.
Cooking with Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup
Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup can turn any recipe into a total showstopper. The rich texture and hints of savory spices work well with rice, potatoes, steamed vegetables, and stuffing, among other dishes. Here are some of Thrive Market’s favorite ways to use each 12 oz. box.
All you need is one pot to cook this entire hearty meal. Replace the chicken stock with Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup for an even richer result and extra tender chicken. As the jasmine rice cooks, it steams the chicken just as seasonings including fresh ginger, garlic, and green chiles pack some extra punch. Once cooked, add some coconut aminos on top for even more bold taste. It’s so simple to prepare, you can make it on the weekend and then have leftovers for early in the week.
It doesn’t have to be Thanksgiving to enjoy this savory stuffing. The only difference is that this one has no trace of bread. Instead, slowly caramelized onions, leeks, and mushrooms come together with hazelnuts and coconut flour to provide a very similar texture and taste. Swap out chicken bone broth for cream of chicken soup (or even mix the two!) for fuller flavor. The hints of garlic and rosemary in Pacific Foods condensed soup work wonders when paired with the nutmeg, sage, thyme, and rosemary.
There are few things more comforting than mashed potatoes and gravy, but if you want to avoid the starchiness, this parsnip-apple purée is a delicious substitute. Coconut milk and ghee give the recipe depth of flavor, and using parsnips and apples makes this substitute far less sinful. Once ready to serve, warm up some cream of chicken soup for a gravy that makes this whipped dish taste even more like the real thing.
Whole-grain mustard pairs surprisingly well with fresh herbs like thyme and parsley to make the perfect tangy marinade for these crispy chicken thighs. Add in a couple tablespoons of Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup to make the meat even juicier and more impossible to resist. It only takes 30 minutes to make, and with the leftovers, you can create some sandwiches for the next day’s lunch, too.
Forgo the heavy cream and instead use some cream of chicken soup for a delightful flavor profile. The spices inside Pacific Foods Organic Cream Of Chicken Condensed Soup will bring out the natural sweetness of the potatoes, and create a truly memorable side dish. To make, you’ll also need some garlic, olive oil, sea salt, sage, ground pepper, and nutmeg.
More about Pacific Foods
When Pacific Foods began in Oregon 28 years ago, they had a mission to “grow better, farm friendlier, and act kinder.” The idea was to make healthier and better tasting foods that always kept in mind the planet from which they are sourced and the people who would eventually be eating them.
Ever since, Pacific Foods has tracked all their ingredients, ensuring that all animals are treated kindly and that the footprint used to make them is as small as it can be, like using packaging that doesn’t require refrigeration. In 2010, the company received recognition as one of Portland’s best sustainable leaders by the Sustainability At Work program. Today, the Pacific Foods product line includes wholesome stocks and soups, purees, sauces, and meat and dairy alternatives that all aim to make a world of difference.

not like the Can stuff
This item was so different than the leading brand of Cream of chicken soup! Light and flavorful! Excellent ingredients!
The Best Gluten Free Option for Casserole Recipes
Giving up casseroles when I found out that I had to go gluten free was pretty hard. I am so thankful to have found this cream of chicken soup! It has a little more than a regular can would but substitutes well in recipes.
Great stuff !
This organic product is an easy meal, in the microwave, and quite delicious .
Excellent soup and I love the way it's packaged. Environmentally friendly and it fits on a shelf.
Cream of chicken soup
Very good , makes a good base for lots of things. one can always add different flavor to go with what you are making.
just like campbells but without the yucky stuff
this is awesome in any dish you would use a can of campbells in. Great flavor!
Just the way Grandmaw used to make it
So rich and creamy, you'd think it was homemade.
I ordered 10 of these at once as I use them to make chicken pot pie soup. They all arrived in perfect condition, they were packed great and all had over a year before expiration date.
Great for casseroles
This is one of the best condensed cream of mushroom soups I've ever had. It's the next best thing to homemade and it doesn't have all the harmful ingredients like some of the famous brand name canned soups. It's great in casseroles and stroganoff.
Pacific brand cream soups are absolutely delicious. I use them in casseroles, meat pies and types of goulash for dinners. Love them!
My family loves this with everything!
I use this as an addition to many of my recipes. My family loves it with almost anything I make, even just for some extra juice over baked chicken. The flavor is great, not too salty. However, I always add more milk for extra creaminess as it tends to be pretty watery.

Replace ALL your Campbell's!
I use a lot of products from Pacific Foods. They're a solid company and make great organic alternatives for staple food items. I honestly had never used cream of chicken soup ever in my life before seeing it here on Thrive Market. I was getting my normal cream of mushroom but saw that they offered this and decided to give it a try. When it arrived with the rest my order, I actually had no idea what to make with it and forgot that I had it. A few weeks later, I'm prepping for a dish and when I go for my second box of cream of mushroom, I see the cream of chicken and realize that I'd gotten a box of that instead. I decided to do something really simple: saute some chicken in a pan, cut it up, heat up the soup with the cooked chicken, and have it over some quinoa with a side of veggies.
So simple, so delicious, I always throw at least one box of this into every one of my orders. It just makes me cringe that I used to use Campbell's for my condensed soup needs, with all those preservatives and artificial flavors. It's great that Thrive offers these organic alternatives at prices comparable to their non-organic counterparts. Can't wait for this to catch on in regular stores too, but until then Thrive is the way to go.

Used in Pot-Pie
I bought this soup along with a gluten-free dough so that I could make an amazing pot-pie! I love that this soup is made of real ingredients and not just fillers and flavor. It love that it is Certified Organic and gluten-fee.
What I didn't love was the box. So many of Pacific Brands containers have a spout rather than a pull tab of cut open box. I just feel that this could have been designed a little better.

Comfort food made healthy
I actually think this is better than home made soups and I grew up with some pretty tasty ones! This one in particular is my favorite, it's my go-to comfort food on a rainy day and I don't have to feel guilty about eating it! I also prefer the boxes over cans. They store easily, open easily, and they're BPA free! All around delicious and healthy product.

Great alternative to Campbells!
I tend to make a casserole about twice a month. These are all recipes handed down from my grandmother, so I never really thought too much about the ingredients I was using. Recently, due to a friend's allergy concern, I looked at the ingredients in the can of condensed soup I'd been using for 20+ years for the first time- only to find it contained, among many other questionable things, MSG!
Needless to say, I immediately looked for an alternative, and found this! I absolutely love the packaging, because it ships and stores much better, and can openers are annoying. The flavor is a little more mild than I'm used to, but then again NO MSG. The consistency is creamy and thick and holds casseroles together exactly the way it should. I'm so happy to now have a healthy alternative to use!

This is the best cream of chicken soup I've ever tried. We also add about 1/2 the water that it calls for and use it as gravy for mashed potatoes. The whole family loves it!
Know the Ingredients
I use condensed soup often in my cooking, and I love that now I know exactly what ingredients I'm adding into my food. The sodium content is pretty high, but that's really standard with any type of canned soup. I love that the ingredients are organic, so I know I'm avoiding a lot of concern about pesticides and GMOs as well. Plus, the packaging is better made for environmentally-friendly aspects. It does have a slightly less creamy taste than non-organic versions that I've tried, but that's certainly not going to make me give it up. This stuff has been great for cooking, and I love that I know exactly what's in it.
Meals for the family
I stock up on Pacific products like this cream of chicken because they're delicious, healthy and easy to use.
I'll make chicken casserole using this soup, which my family loves with rice or pasta, or I'll add vegetables and rice to make a hearty soup using the cream as my base.

Great for quick meals
I'm a college student with not a lot of time to cook, or the expertise really, so I like fresh, healthy food that I can whip up quickly.
I like Pacific's cream of chicken soup. It's organic and very healthy, and I can just dump it over wheat rice or pasta, or throw in some chicken breast and eat it with a side of vegetables.
