Upgrade Your Breakfast With Omega-3 Maple Almond Butter

Why settle for ordinary nut butters when you can opt for this extraordinary almond butter? Heart-healthy seeds lend texture and extra nutritional oomph, while maple syrup gives the spread a touch of delicate sweetness.

Omega-3 Maple Almond Butter Recipe

Yield: 2 cups
Active Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes


3 cups raw almonds
5 tablespoons maple syrup
3 tablespoons whole flax seeds
2 tablespoons chia seeds
3 tablespoons hemp seeds
3 tablespoons coconut oil
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon sea salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Toss almonds with maple syrup, to coat, and spread in an even layer on lined baking sheet.

Roast in oven 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.

Place roasted almonds, flax, chia, and hemp seeds in the bowl of a food processor and process until smooth and the oils have released. Add in coconut oil, cinnamon, and salt. Process until almond butter reaches desired texture. Store in a lidded jar in fridge, 2 weeks.
