Reviews For Pancake & Waffle Baking Mix
Based on 6 Reviews
Wonderful taste- light and delicious
My husband raved about these from the moment he tasted. And I totally concur.
Crispy griddle cakes!
As I'm sensitive to gluten, dairy, eggs, and a few other things, I'm grateful to find a pre-made mix that I can use without making substitutions. I haven't had pancakes in years!!
That being said, this mix may not make your typical fluffy, thick pancake. The batter is kind of thin, and requires some kind of fat/ cooking spray on the pan.
However, if you happen to be frying bacon at the same time and can fry these in bacon fat, watch out - you'll have delicious, crispy pancakes that are AMAZING with a little maple syrup.
But seriously, even without bacon, my husband (aka "king carb") also enjoyed a stack of these with me, and he had no complaints. They're not very sweet, so they go really well with maple syrup or even jam.
I am stocking up on this stuff.
not the best ever, but does the job
This pancake mix is a little bit harder to work with and much crumblier than its buttermilk/traditional pancake counterparts. THAT BEING SAID, the pancakes are still good and it's really nice to have a vegan option, so I can't complain too much. This is great for vegans and people with food allergies.
Disappointing at best. A fresh egg didn't help pancakes rise. My husband who doesn't like buckwheat didn't detect that flavor. The recipe on the box uses half the mix, so we don't have more than half to return or I would.
Having food allergies means I can't eat a lot of things – pancakes and waffles being one of them. But now I can! You wouldn't know that these are allergy friendly – they taste amazing.
- Hope H
These pancakes look and feel and taste like pancakes!! No gluten AND no egg necessary!
