Reviews For Automatic Dishwasher Detergent Packs, Free & Clear
Based on 14 Reviews
Seemed to work okay at first but then I noticed all my silverware kept coming out with a white chalky film and some still dirty. Had to re wash a lot but I made myself go through the whole bag as I didn't want to waste the product. Would not buy again.
Does a great job
These packets do a great job of cleaning my dishes and I don't have to worry about them becoming a solid mass like the loose powder does.

Eco friendly cleans dishes great! No residue and no smell!!
Works very well
This is my go to dishwasher detergent. Love that the packs devolve is water and there is no waste.
Actually, quality of detergent depends on a washing machine. First time I tried it in older washing machine - it was fine but then I moved to a new apartment and tried this detergent in a different washing machine...I just LOVE it. Sparkling and clean.
Does a Great Job
This product dissolves completely in the DW and it does a great job of cleaning my dishes. Leaves no film behind in the DW.
Do not buy.
These left a discernible, grease-like film on all plastic after we used them. Every. single. time. There's nothing like having to hand wash dishes that you already ran through the dishwasher.
Left Dishes Cloudy & Dirty
This is the first 7th Gen product that I don't love. These tablets left our dishes cloudy and we had to run the dishwasher twice to get our dishes clean (we wash well before putting dishes in the dishwasher).
Ok for being natural
I don't know if it's because these pacs are natural, but I did find that it left deposits on some of my silverware and a few of my plates. I'm ok paying more for natural products, it's just the price of doing business and Thrive is easily the most affordable, compared to Vitacost and Amazon, but I would still like a dishwashing liquid that works without any residue and this wasn't quite as good as it should have been. I'll still use it, and see if it improves, I have real hard water issues where I live, but still hope this improves.

Natural cleaner for my dishes
Seventh Generation makes a laundry detergent that I use, so I knew I had to see how well these dishwashing pacs would clean.
Of course, Seventh Generation built a company on not using any dyes, perfumes or chemicals in their products, and this is no different. The pacs are strong, just as powerful as the pacs I've bought at Target, but they are all natural, so I'm not using chemicals. I've had no problems with them at all, and honestly, I can't tell a difference. My dishes and glasses are polished and there's no gritty residue. Another quality product from Seventh Generation

Love Seventh Generation
I really love Seventh Generation products. They are always reliable and I can trust that I am using a green and clean product without sacrificing any results.
These dishwashing pacs really get my dishes clean and I love they are scent free. I like knowing I'm not adding any unnecessary ingredients to my dishes.

Clean the First Time
These auto dishwashing detergent pacs are great. I love the fact they are scentless because I don't like a lot of scents or scented products. I also like there is no chlorine or artificial ingredients to feel guilty about in these pacs.
They really get the job done the first time. I like to rinse my dishes as soon as I am done with them then throw them into the dishwasher without actually washing it. These pacs give me the confident clean I'm looking for without the extra stuff I don't want on my dishes. (they don't just sound gross, if they don't rinse right, it tastes gross too--none of that with these pacs!)
I'll admit that I'm a bit lazy, and I honestly prefer the latest "pacs" or "tablets" instead of using liquid or powder detergent. I'm surprised by how well these work! I'm used to "pacs" being less effective, but these do an amazing job. I add a bit of vinegar into the rinse aid dispenser, and there aren't any spots on my glass dishes. I've been experimenting for months with various detergents to get those to go away, so I'll admit to being beyond-impressed. Each "pac" was packed well with absolutely no leakage, and they pulled out of the bag really easily. I'm impressed!
I'm a big fan of Seventh Generation's free and clear products. I've lived in several apartments and have always had trouble with dishwashers not cleaning all that well, and leaving powder or gel in the tray. I've found that these work well on both counts. I'm very happy with the product, and always happy to support this company.
