Announcing the Winners of Our 2025 Share the Health Campaign
Last Update: December 1, 2025
Every year, our Share the Health campaign reminds us just how powerful community can be. This season, we invited members to nominate someone in their life who goes above and beyond—someone who could use a little extra support headed into the holidays.
From those stories, 10 inspiring individuals and families were randomly selected to receive $500 in free groceries to support a brighter, easier holiday season. Their stories reflect resilience, generosity, and the everyday courage that defines what it means to care for a community.
Meet This Year’s Share the Health Winners
From caregivers and teachers to parents, first responders, and families navigating major life transitions, this year’s nominations highlighted the incredible resilience and generosity within our community. Here are the 10 individuals and families receiving $500 in free groceries this holiday season.
Steve — Morrisville, NC
A beloved high school math teacher of more than 30 years, Steve is known for meeting students where they are: using their interests in class, tutoring after school, and supporting families beyond the classroom. Even while navigating recent health challenges, he continues to mentor, coach, and inspire. His wife, Rachel, shared that he has been focusing on healthier eating and would deeply benefit from access to nourishing groceries that help him continue supporting his students for years to come.
Tessa — York, PA
Nominated by a close friend who described her as “one of the strongest, most selfless people I know,” Tessa is a single mother of four who is navigating immense challenges. Over the past year, she has faced significant health issues, including a cancer scare, while supporting a daughter with severe asthma. Despite these hardships, she continues to show up for her kids with love and patience.
Monessa — Granville, OH
Described as hardworking, community-minded, and deeply dedicated to their three children, Monessa and her husband are balancing multiple jobs while caring for two toddlers and a teenager. With long hours, tight budgets, and the everyday realities of raising little ones close in age, their nominator shared that “they are kind, community-minded people who could really use a little extra support right now.” This gift offers a moment of relief for a family committed to providing stability and love, even during challenging seasons.
Christine — Roanoke, VA
Christine is navigating disability and serious health concerns. Living alone with limited income and chronic pain, she has struggled to afford food and essentials. Christine wrote that receiving this support would help her focus on healing, strengthen her nutrition, and continue building toward better days.
Zach & Shaylin — Benson, AZ
This busy young family is preparing to welcome a new baby in April while juggling many roles. Zach works at a small school as a tech and maintenance specialist and coding teacher while attending college; Shaylin works at their church, coaches volleyball, babysits, and fills their home with healthy meals. Their nominator wrote, “I don’t know any other family that deserves and would love this more than them.” This award helps lighten the load as they grow their family.
Angela — Logan, UT
Angela is a single mother who was nominated by her sister, Michelle, who describes her as strong, resilient, and supportive. As she navigates recent hardships, this grocery support offers meaningful relief and a moment of stability.
Ed — Putnam Valley, NY
A firefighter for more than a decade, Ed has spent years protecting his community, while his wife (an educator and Girl Scout leader) gives back daily through teaching and service. Together, they work hard to support their three children and continue to volunteer whenever they can. Their nominator shared that “this would make them happy and give them a well-deserved gift around the holidays.”
Brandy — Eastlake, OH
Brandy was nominated by her fiancé, who describes her as a devoted nurse and a deeply caring partner. Whether she’s tending to patients or supporting her family at home, Brandy gives her all. This award honors her compassion, hard work, and the steady support she provides to everyone around her.
Tatum — Phenix City, AL
A kindergarten teacher and online graduate student, Tatum pours her energy into her classroom—on an educator’s salary. Her nominator shared that she rarely has the luxury of stocking her pantry with premium groceries and would greatly benefit from healthy staples she can bring to school and enjoy at home. This support helps fuel her during a demanding season of work and study.
Kaitlyn & David — Fishers, IN
Kaitlyn and David both work at a school for children with autism and learning differences—one as a teacher, the other as a therapist—while preparing to welcome their first baby in spring 2026. Their family says this gift will help relieve financial stress and ensure they’re able to stock up on nourishing groceries and essential baby items as they embark on parenthood. “She is very deserving of this gift,” her sister shared. “It would be amazing as she starts motherhood.”
