Why You’ll Love Hot Cups and Lids
On-the-go lifestyles demand to-go products. That’s where Repurpose Hot Cups and Lids fit in, as an everyday way to take your morning coffee to the office or a homemade chai latte on the road to anywhere. These insulated, portable cups are the perfect solution for busy people that want to take beverages in the car while running errands, during a long commute to work, or as a perk-me-up on the way to the gym—all without having to stop at a cafe and buy a drink every time, which can add up!
The great thing about Repurpose is the insulation technology inside each cup that keeps hands at a normal temperature while a beverage stays piping hot or nice and cold.
Repurpose Hot Cups and Lids are more than just a convenience, though; they are also one of the greenest coffee cups you can find. Repurpose in on a mission to bring a line of sustainable tableware to market that considers the health of the planet along with the health of you and your family. All of their renewable products are made completely from plants, which cuts down on the amount of plastics in the environment. Since these cups are 100 percent compostable, there’s no worry that they’ll be sitting in a landfill for years. These plant-based cups are also made from corn, not oil or petroleum like other traditional options, meaning that each 12-pack is completely non-toxic and BPA-free.
The problem with BPA
BPA, or Bisphenol A, is a chemical compound found in numerous items that are packaged in plastic and also is often present in the lining of canned goods where it seeps from the packaging into your foods, beverages, and your body, putting you at risk. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) hasn’t completely come out against BPA yet, but it no longer considers the chemical safe, and research has found that it could do some serious harm. Of the few human studies that have been done, it’s believed that BPA could disrupt the production of hormones, cause behavioral problems, increase the risk for cancer and heart disease, and even act as a synthetic version of estrogen.
Unfortunately, what we exchange for convenience can sometimes come with a sacrifice to our health. And it can be easy to feel like there’s no good option. Luckily, with brands like Repurpose, there is a way—this easy to-go option lets you enjoy all your favorite beverages anywhere you go, and doesn’t come with a side of unwanted chemicals. These cups are designed to be durable, as well as renewable (they’re compostable in just 90 days at any industrial composting facility).
Fill up your Repurpose Hot Cups and Lids with these tasty drinks
Sure, you could fill up your Repurpose Hot Cup with some average morning joe, but why do so when there are endless options for delicious and comforting beverages you can try, too? Here are some of Thrive Market’s favorite recipes, from tea lattes to spiced ciders and health tonics. With 12 cups in a pack, you can experiment each and every day.
No need to start your day with loads of caffeine in your system. Perk up naturally with this Ayurvedic-inspired morning latte that fuses potent ginger, black pepper, and the super spice turmeric, which has long been respected for its medicinal properties. The use of dandelion root tea also cleanses the liver, leading to a feeling of overall wellness and rejuvenation. Sweeten with raw honey and add some almond milk for creaminess. In less than five minutes, you’ll have a jitter-free energy drink.
Get juiced in the morning with this body-boosting drink that will make you feel alert and detox leftover toxins at the same time (also paving the way for beautiful skin). Blend cucumber, basil, lemon, and aloe vera juice together, and in five minutes, you’ll have a super smooth drink that you can carry right out the door.
Matcha powder is a super concentrated and pulverized version of green tea, with a number of powerful antioxidants and less caffeine than coffee. Here, it’s blended with coconut or almond milk for creaminess as well as coconut oil and grass-fed gelatin to provide a good dose of healthy fats that can provide a boost of energy first thing in the morning and support heart health. Fragrant vanilla extract adds some sweetness and soothing flavor, making this a perfect beverage especially for chilly mornings.
You might think it’s nearly impossible to replicate the deep, intense flavor and jolt of energy that coffee provides, but here’s the trick: a dandelion-cacao latte. When roasted dandelion root tea is mixed with antioxidant-packed cacao nibs, it mimics the rich taste—and while this drink is caffeine-free, it detoxes the body and cleanses the liver, leaving you feeling more energized. Coconut milk, coconut sugar, and coconut oil are added for sweet taste and added texture, making it easier than ever to kick the coffee habit.
If you simply can’t put the coffee down (and no one can blame you!), you can at least opt for a healthy creamer that is completely vegan and without a bunch of artificial additives, preservatives, or sugar. It’s easy to make at home with soaked cashews, coconut oil, coconut milk, honey, and a pinch of sea salt. You can also customize the recipe to add a dose of vanilla, chocolate almond, or hazelnut flavor.
Cider is always in season with a delicious recipe like this. Here, traditional apple cider is accented by traditional chai spices, including ginger, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves, and black peppercorn, which provides some extra zing. All you have to do is throw everything in the slow cooker and let it simmer for four hours; the final product will be well worth the wait and will also fill your home with indulgent smells.

Hot Cups and Lids
I love these cups! I buy them for the office because we're always on the go. They don't add a chemical taste to beverages and I love that they are biodegradable
I like the idea of these. Handy if I"m going out and don't have a thermos ready. However, I like to sip my teas for quite a while, and I noticed that over time the bottom became too wet and started leaking heavily.
My husband loves these.
I love these! Only thing that would be better, is a larger size.
I received these as a free sample, and I love them. I will be buying some plates also to have on hand. It is so great that they are compostable :)
Better than coffee mugs in my opinion
I love drinking coffee on my way into work since it's such a long drive. I used to always use a mug...until I had like ten mugs in my car- I just always for get to bring them home. I know it's not as environmentally friendly as recycling a mug, but I'd much rather use this then have a pile of mugs in my car (I know- lazy!) I feel better knowing that these are at least recyclable and sustainable.
Great for the office!
Ordered a few of these for my office. They work well! No coaster needed. I prefer using paper cups/lids for the office just because we're always on the go and visiting different locations. Will order again!
