Why You’ll Love It

Tiny But Mighty Popcorn is a super-premium variety of corn with unique flavor and story. It is an heirloom popcorn (or maize) native to North America and claims the title “heirloom” because the genetic makeup of the plant is virtually identical to the corn that covered North America for thousands of years. Tiny But Mighty Popcorn with a smaller, denser kernel has a more concentrated flavor that reduces the need for butter, salt, or other additions. After customers try Tiny But Mighty Popcorn it is truly hard for them to enjoy any other variety of commercial popcorn. Tiny But Mighty popcorn is virtually hull-less because the hull (shell) of each kernel is cooked away during the popping process. This popcorn is more pleasant to eat and easier to digest, particularly for customers who suffer from diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, and other digestive problems.

About This Brand

Popcorn that is grown and tastes the way popcorn should: wholesome & natural.Today’s popcorns, even microwave varieties, have been bred to pop larger and larger. This creates more volume but when it comes to taste, the whole idea is a lot of hot air. When it comes to Tiny But Mighty Popcorn, size does matter. The corn plant itself reaches a height of around three feet, with each stalk producing as many as 30 ears. The ears are typically three to four inches long, each loaded with tiny kernels about half the size of kernels in regular popcorn.Tiny But Mighty popcorn is virtually hull-less. The hull (shell) of each kernel is cooked away during the popping process, making it easier to chew – and easier to digest – than other popcorn brands. In other words, it’s grown and tastes the way popcorn should: wholesome & natural.Tiny But Mighty Popcorn is native to the prehistoric Americas. It was shared by Native Americans with a pioneer family in the 1850′s and enjoyed for generations. But by...

Reviews For Ancient Heirloom Popcorn

5 stars for taste, texture and pop-ability

I tried this popcorn for the first time last night and it definitely did not disappoint! Not only was it delicious, but the texture was delightful and there were only three kernels left at the bottom of the bowl!! I've been searching for a good popcorn for a while now, and it would appear as though my search has ended—thanks Tiny But Mighty!!

Air popper friendly

This popcorn is so cute, and also tasty. It DOES work in the air popper, you have to use about half a cup of kernels at once (the amount that the measuring cup/lid/butter melting tray holds) and I don't have any issues with the kernels flying out too soon. I like to drizzle mine with melted coconut oil instead of butter, and sprinkle on a little salt.

Ancient Heirloom Popcorn.

The only popcorn I will buy...Yummy..

This popcorn is so good, and I like that it has a little different taste and texture than traditional popcorn.

- Jessica

Love this popcorn. Small and tasty!

- Suzan

I was excited about this product as I make popcorn often and looking forward to small kernels. However, I quickly discovered it cannot be used in a hot air popper which I use to save calories. I plugged the hot air popper in and within a minute was pelted with unpopped kernels. They were flying all over the counter and floor. The kernels are too light for popper so I never got to eat any.

Tiny, but a Mighty Big Hit!

I grew up in a family that popped popcorn every night and it's still a staple in my home. I've taught my children how to make it the "old school' way (which they think is pretty cool). I discovered Tiny But Mighty heirloom popcorn by accident, while shopping in Trader Joe's for something else (don't we all do that?) I raced home and made up a batch which I quickly gobbled down. I returned to Trader Joe's a week later to buy more but, (sob) they were no longer in stock. I haven't seen them in any stores since. If any retailers are reading this, STOCK UP and PROMOTE. You will have your popcorn aficionados hooked for life!

This is a delicious product that doesn't get stuck in your teeth. We've been eating this now for a couple of years and would never buy another brand!

- Fitz

Small kernels = small popcorn (obvious, I know)

I very excitedly bought this for my popcorn fanatic husband, and he was not thrilled with how small this stuff pops up. I know this is obvious, since it's TINY popcorn, but he wasn't into it. I still think it's neat!

The Best of the Best Popping Corn

This popping corn is the absolute best! It's tender and delicious and pops very quickly with only a few unpopped kernels. I pop mine in coconut oil and sprinkle on Garlic Gold Parmesan Nuggets available at Thrive Market also. Yummy!

- Barbara

Love it!

My family loves this popcorn. It pops well and tastes great. I do wish it was organic though.

- C.J.

I'm not much for pop corn so I bought it for my daughter. The hull is so diminutive it doesn't count toward the usual unpleasant texture of ordinary pop corn. Otherwise, the texture is crisp and the flavor is as tasty as any gourmet pop I've had.

- Roger

Still working on this one

I love popcorn, just haven't got this down yet. Different pan & another choice of oil. : )

Heirloom popcorn

Great snack item, the only popcorn I will buy

- Patrick

Absolutely the BEST

Love the fact that this popcorn is the real deal and not hybridized beyond recognition like most modern grains. Ancient grains are the way to go. It is delicious and everything they say it is. Follow the directions exactly on the bag to make the best bowl of popcorn you'll ever eat. I used coconut oil and set my electric burner on medium. Used a tall pot because 2/3 cup of kernels (per directions) will make a really big bowl!! You can cut that in half to make a smaller batch. It was fun to shake the pot while it popped. Just a couple of sprinkles of Himalayan salt is all that's needed. Wonderful natural butter flavor. This is popcorn is FANTASTIC!!!

- Kathy

they aren't kidding

They aren't kidding when they say tiny but mighty. The might is in the taste... It is so full of flavor its amazing. One tiny popped kernel of this popcorn has more flavor than a whole handful of other popcorns. I'm a popcorn lover and I have tried every brand there is and this is hands down the most delicious. Don't let the size fool you...

- Terese

Tender Popcorn

Small, tender popped kernels with no wasted product.

- Barbara

Less hulls

definitely has less hulls and less un-popped seeds than other brands I have used. Small kernals and tastes is good. Would recommend product

- Nana

Best little popcorn on the planet..Love It..

- Patrick

Tiny but mighty

This popcorn is so good, I give it as a gift and it is truly hull-less.

- Julianne

Popcorn lover

I love the crunch of this popcorn. I was skeptical to try it but I am so happy I did. I will buy it again and again.

- Rita

Tiny but full of Flavor!

They were serious when they labeled it "tiny". Still full of flavor and gave us a good laugh. Love the Non-GMO feature of this product. Wish there was a regular size kernel with that standard. I'm sure it's coming!

- Sherry

Love this popcorn

No Hulls, sweet taste. The family loved it!

- Terrie

Yummy Popcorn, small pops although very yummy..

- Patrick

Airpopper friendly and Delicious!

I eat this popcorn every day AIR POPPED with coconut oil and sea salt applied after. To air pop, I use a small metal mesh strainer in the hole over the kernels until they start popping, then remove the strainer to let the corn pop into the bowl. You can also tilt the popper back til the corn starts popping. Great yield, Great taste, No husks in my gums!!

Really yummy popcorn but not suited for an Airpopper

I tried this popcorn in my Airpopper and the kernels are so small they just flew out without popping. It was fun for the kids to watch, but not something I had anticipated. It works great and tastes yummy when prepared the old fashioned way in a lidded pot on the stove with some oil, which is more trouble than I typically want to go to in order to have popcorn. If you have a regular popcorn popper or enjoy the stove method, give this popcorn a try.

- Nancy

Best popcorn ever!

Love, love this popcorn. It's so great not to get those hulls stuck in your teeth and gums! I love the size and the flavor and its GMO Free!

- Stacey

Love this popcorn

This popcorn has the greatest flavor ever! A few pinches of Himalayan pink sea salt and it is just fabulous!

- Barb

I love popcorn and white wine. I mean I REALLY LOVE popcorn and wine...and no I am not Olivia Pope. I was excited to take this home and feel healthy and great about myself while eating it but it was one of the worst popcorn I have ever had. It was chewy and with no flavor. It did not pop well. Some of it started burning before the most of it could pop and the gas flame was not that high at all. Overall I am sad this popcorn did not live up to my expectations.

- Phillip Roman

Doesn't pop well

I popped this as per the package directions and had more kernels that did not pop than what did before it started to scorch (yes, I was shaking the pan). After a few unsuccessful attempts, I gave up and went back to the regular non-gmo popcorn I was using. Would have loved this to be my go-to popcorn.

- Kathy

So Yummy

Best popcorn ever! First time in a long time that I made popcorn the "old fashioned" way. I didn't know if I could still shake my booty. LOL It is sooo good and there are no hulls to get stuck in between your gums and your teeth. For that reason. I have not had popcorn in many years and I'm so glad that I can enjoy this excellent brand.

- Jeanne

Not what they said it was.

I was very disappointed in this popcorn. The hulls are very noticeable and the pop part is very small. They were hard to chew and the flavor was not that great. We really wanted to like it even my kids were sad.

- Danielle

Not good for air poppers

The popcorn itself is great but the kernels are so small and light they fly right out of an air popper. I had to resort to a traditional stove-top method for popping.

- Elizabeth

Love this pops fully, but small sweet kernels that have almost no husk at all. Nice for those of us with diverticulitis!!! Love Love Love it!

- Karen

Good, but don't use in hot air popper

Good popcorn, but if used in hot air popper, much of the small, light, seeds blow out, un popped, into the bowl.

- Kenneth

Miniature popcorn

This is tiny munchkin popcorn. I usually eat edens organic popcorn with no problems. This gave me a stomachache, not sure why but I will stick with organic popcorn. The popcorn did taste good but I like big puffy pops, these are so very tiny, it was funny.

- Patricia

Best popcorn ever

This is brilliant popcorn, light, non greasy, slight sweet taste, little salt and no need as the label says for butter or oil. If anything, I sprinkle a little basil on it just to bring out more of the flavor, but honestly, this is the best popcorn I've ever had, bar none. It's also been great for my stomach, as I have a gut that doesn't always respond well to grains, but no issues with this popcorn that uses a smaller kernel.

- Robert Hogan

Tasty treat!

No hulls is correct. I love this stuff!

- Sylvia

This Popcorn is So Good!!

Since my husband has IBS, I don't make popcorn any longer. It's just too hard for him to digest. I know he missed it, movie night wasn't the same. Then I found Tiny But Mighty popcorn.

It's like old fashion kettle corn, sweet, a little salty and extremely tasty! The best part is it's smaller and made from maize that is easily digested. I couldn't wait to make some for my husband to enjoy on movie night.

When I first searched for easily digestible popcorn, I found the best price at Thrive Market. Looking at their other healthy items, many of which my husband could appreciate, I sign us up for a membership on the spot. We were enjoying this delicious popcorn in just a few days. Thanks Thrive!

- Michelle P

Love heirloom items

I was happy to find some great popcorn here on Thrive Market. Heirloom vegetables make me smile, so you can imagine the grin on my face when I first discovered this.

Not all of the kernels popped, but I guess that happens. Normally my air popper pops everything. Other than that I really have no complaints. Tastes great, and great for you.

- Elfrie

Virtually Hull Free!

I really like that this popcorn is gluten free and virtually hull free. The hulls mostly cook when the popcorn is popped so no breaking your teeth on a stray hull. This popcorn is smaller than the typical popcorn, but it seems to be more filling, so it's not necessary to make as much.
On that note-it's a good thing more doesn't need to be made, because if it did, you would have to use much more because the popcorn is smaller and it seems makes much less than the typical popping corn.
None the less, I really like this popcorn. It tastes really good with or without extra butter or salt and is truly filling. It has a high fiber count too, so it won't sit like a box of bricks in your stomach. It digests rather easily.

- Selia

Pops up beautifully. The little kernels are a different experience.

Crisp, delicious, pops up beautifully. The little kernels are a different experience, but the flavor definitely makes up for it.
