Reviews For Unscented African Black Soap

I use this primarily as a body wash, but it works well for my face and just ok for shampoo. I find I need to use a conditioner afterwards if I use it as a shampoo, but at least it doesn't completely strip my hair dry like Dr. Bronner's does!
It is unscented, but it does have a mild aroma to it. Oddly enough, it reminds me of motor oil or gasoline, but like in a good way!! It's hard to describe it really, but this soap is great! It lathers up nicely and rinses out of my body sponge. I've also used it for shaving my legs, just be sure to use only a little water so you can get a thick layer of sudsy soap.
African Black Soap
Bought this for my husband to use in the shower and as hand soap. He really likes it and he is not easy to please with products at times.

We use this as handsoap and are very happy with it. Love that it is nontoxic.
Unscented African Black Soap
Love this!! Would love to try a scented version! Super silky and lathery! Would recommend!
Great, multi-use product!
I've used this bottle for my face, as body wash and shampoo! It is simple but so effective. I love getting the unscented verison since I'm sensitive to fragrance and I love it.
Love this stuff! Non drying and clean rinsing
This all-body and hair soap is luxuriously soft and moisturizing. I have never been able to use Dr. Bronner's - it is too "Streaky" feeling on my skin. The Alaffia rinses clean but does not strip my skin.
I purchase the large bottle now and make separate batches with added essential oils per my whims/needs.
The company sponsors several wonderful empowerment projects in the African villages it works with - so I love knowing that I am contributing to those efforts.
I have wanted to stop the crazy "conditioner build-up/strip it with shampoo" routine in my hair for a long time. I am now starting week 2 of using this on my scalp and hair, and coconut oil instead of conditioner - and my gray hair is actually falling into soft wavy locks.
It is fantastic!
Great soap and value!
No scent is perfect for me! It's easy to add scents if I want some. This soap is great.
I thought this would be darker but the soap did not disappoint. Wonderful and silky clean. I was delighted to not be at all dried out by it, I have very sensitive skin and this was lovely
LOVE the Black Soap!
This Black Soap is my go-to for both hair & skin! It's so mild and is 'chemical-free'! Although my hair is 'thin', I get many compliments on it's appearance and those compliments I attribute to the great job the Black Soap does!
