Most of Nikos Renieris’ childhood memories center around olive oil. “Everywhere in Greece you can see olive trees,” he says. “My first memory was when I was four-years-old, and I remember watching the bottling process.”
You could say olive oil is in his blood. His father and two uncles started the family business in 1982 on Greece’s largest island, Crete. “Olive oil is the most important product for the local people,” he shares, and Nickos and his family continue to cultivate these trees, a job they consider more of a passion than a business.
