We’re mashing up two Italian treats—affogato and granita—into a post-dinner coffee and dessert in one! Granita is semi-frozen Sicilian ice (think Italian snow cone) commonly made with fruit flavors, but we’re all about a base of cold brew concentrate, honey, and a dash of cinnamon. Granita is pretty hands-off once it goes into the freezer but don’t let the simplicity fool you—it’s guaranteed to impress your guests, especially when you pour a non-dairy creamer over the top!
Yield: 4 servings
Active Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 12 hours
1 (32-ounce) container Califia Farms Cold Brew Concentrate
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 (16-ounce) container Califia Farms Better Half Creamer, Unsweetened
Add cold brew concentrate and honey to a 9- by 13-inch baking dish and whisk until incorporated. Freeze until slushy, 2 to 3 hours. Flake with a fork, then return to freezer and repeat the process two more times.
Add two scoops of granita to each glass and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Divide creamer between rocks glasses and serve immediately.
