This smoothie bowl's golden hue comes from a trio of sunny foods: mango, orange juice, and turmeric. Beyond its gorgeous color, turmeric has some powerful anti-inflammatory properties, and some studies have linked it to better brain health, reduced joint pain, and even a healthier heart. Antioxidant-rich fruits like goji berries and pitaya, protein-packed hemp seeds, and superfood bee pollen bring extra health benefits to the breakfast table.


Tropical Turmeric Smoothie Bowl

Yield: 1 to 2 servings

Ingredients

For the smoothie:
1 banana
1 cup frozen mango
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 piece ginger
2 teaspoons turmeric
Juice of 1/2 lime
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon coconut oil

For serving:
Passionfruit pulp
Pitaya (dragon fruit) slices
Raspberries
Coconut chips
Goji berries
Bee pollen

Instructions

Blend all smoothie ingredients in a high-powered blender on high until smooth. Transfer to 1 or 2 bowls and arrange desired toppings on top.
