Wedderspoon: Bringing Manuka Honey to the Masses

March 27th, 2015

You shouldn’t have to take up beekeeping to get natural, high-quality honey — or at least that’s what the founders of Wedderspoon believe.

Wedderspoon is the brainchild of married couple Sébastien Martin and Catherine Wedderspoon-Martin, who created the company in response to their shared realization that Manuka honey was practically absent from the North American marketplace. They then made it their personal mission to go out and spread the good word about Manuka honey—a highly nutritious, special type of honey which hearkens from the Manuka flower nectar gathered by bees in New Zealand.

This mission also involved sourcing the best quality Manuka honey possible—certified organic honey free of chemicals and pesticide residues, with a high pollen count (and the health benefits that come with it) to boot. Seven year later, their endeavor has resulted in dozens of varieties of superior quality, smooth Manuka honey that benefit both their customers and the environment.

Try some of their Raw Organic Rata Honey today in this fantastic recipe for Yummy Chocolate & Wild Rata Honey Pudding.
