Wedderspoon is the brainchild of married couple Sébastien Martin and Catherine Wedderspoon-Martin, who created the company in response to their shared realization that Manuka honey was practically absent from the North American marketplace. They then made it their personal mission to go out and spread the good word about Manuka honey—a highly nutritious, special type of honey which hearkens from the Manuka flower nectar gathered by bees in New Zealand.
