Staggering Statistic: Most Adults Don’t Exercise Enough

Last Update: October 19, 2022

Sixty percent of American adults are not active enough to actually receive health benefits from it.

Citizens of Mississippi and Tennessee in particular don’t exercise very much, while Coloradans and Oregonians hit the gym most often.

Regularly exercising can help maintain a healthy weight and reduce your risk of heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and even some cancers. Even if it’s just going for a walk around the block, start moving around—it could save your life.
