How to Make a Crispy Fried Egg With Olive Oil

Eggs are a fantastic option for creating a simple, satisfying meal in a pinch. Our favorite way to eat them also happens to be one of the simplest: fried. The crispy slightly browned edges of the egg whites provide a nice contrast with the warm, runny yolk. We love to serve them over toast, salad, or burgers. Try cooking your eggs in velvety extra-virgin olive oil for additional flavor.

Crispy Fried Egg With Olive Oil Recipe

Yield: 1 egg
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

1 egg
⅓ cup Thrive Market Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Flaky sea salt

Instructions

Coat the bottom of a frying pan with the olive oil and bring to medium heat. When the oil is hot, drop the egg in the center of the pan. Baste the top and edges of the egg with oil. Fry until edges are crispy brown. Transfer to a plate and top with flaky sea salt.
