Buy another brand

I wanted to like this very much but the shape/texture and taste were not good. I don't need a mock meat to emulate anything but this really just tasted like dog or cat food. Spend the dollar or two more on a better pouched brand.

I was never a big seafood fan growing up but I do remember tuna and the texture. This is very off from that....The consistency was more like cat food. I had to add avocado and some more seasoning to make it to my liking. I might buy again but only if good catch is not better.

Good as an ingredient

By itself yes it's not worth it, but I use this brand to make some jalapeno poppers. Add bread crumbs, v cream cheese, evoo and a ton of spices and it changes this from meh to mama mia

Love This Stuff!

Don't expect this to taste just like real tuna. Expect it to taste like it's own tasty thing! It does taste a bit fishy and surprisingly meaty. It's not made to be eaten by itself, but instead, incorporated into things. We like mixing this with some vegan mayo and sometimes we put in some chopped celery and pickles. Yum! Other times I use the toona in a vegan "tuna" casserole. We love it!

I love the toona itself but hate the fact that it’s so oily :( putting it in water would be much much better!

It was ok

The taste was good but doesn't remind me of tuna. It was too oily for me, but I made a decent sandwich with it. I'm glad I bought it but I don't think I'll buy it again.

Toona in oil

So I use this toona differently than the other brand on Thrive. I specifically use it for salads. Since it's already in an oil, I don't need go add dressing. It doesn't rekindle me of toona, but it's still decent. For goodness sake, I'm not always looking for the exact meat substitute as a vegetarian! I like both flavors.
