Black Pepper Vegan Toona851110003265Vegan eaters can enjoy the fresh taste of the sea, too! Plant-based, black pepper-seasoned Toona by Sophie’s Kitchen is the perfect fish-free alternative to conventional canned tuna. Non-GMO, all-natural ingredients like Konjac root (an ancient Asian superfood), pea protein, agave, and spices lend this veganized tuna a flavor and texture that works beautifully in tuna salads, casseroles, sandwiches, and more. Even better: Great-tasting toona is an excellent source of protein and fiber (100 grams provides 12 percent of your recommended daily value!).6 oz can
Tried a few different times - by Thomas GoldenI tried preparing this in many ways. Each time it was disappointing. I thought I could work with it, improve it. But I could not. If they lose the vinegar and canola it would be a little bit healthier. But nothing I'm afraid can save texture or taste. They need to start from scratch.
Meh - by KinseyThe old recipe was so good, I got excited to eat it. And could even eat it plain. I don't know understand why they changed it. Now I have 3 cans sitting in my cabinet that I'm not looking overly forward to consuming. It's ok mixed with mayo and relish. I hate to say it, but the other reviews are fairly accurate, it does smell and look like cat food. I miss the old stuff.
pretty good - by BarbOut of all the vegan toona, this is one of the best.
Horrible - by StacyLooks and smells like cat food and tastes even worse. Wouldn't even feed this to my dog. It was horrid.
I had hope - by BrookeAnd it was squandered, maybe someone could suggest a good way to eat this, but it just reminded me of cat food
